Getting here
AnnoVillas’ villas are set around Kawaguchiko Station in Fujikawaguchiko and Fujiyoshida. Central Tokyo is roughly two hours away by car, train or express bus. For the freedom to explore the Fuji Five Lakes at your own pace, we recommend arriving by car.
By car
From Tokyo (Shinjuku): approx. 1 hr 30 min – 2 hr
- Take the Chuo Expressway and the Fujiyoshida Line to Kawaguchiko IC — about 100 km from central Tokyo.
- On weekends and public holidays, traffic often builds near the Kobotoke Tunnel and Otsuki JCT; please allow extra time.
- From December to March, snow and icy roads are common. Winter tyres or chains are required.
- Complimentary parking is provided at every villa (see each villa page for the number of spaces).
By train
From Shinjuku: approx. 2 hr
- The Fuji Excursion limited express runs directly from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Station with no change of trains. All seats are reserved, so we recommend booking early.
- Alternatively, take a JR Chuo Line limited express to Otsuki and change to the Fujikyu Line for Kawaguchiko (approx. 2 hr 30 min).
- Guests staying at Gekkouen should alight at Shimoyoshida or Gekkoji Station on the Fujikyu Line.
By express bus
From Busta Shinjuku: approx. 1 hr 50 min
- Frequent direct express buses run from Busta Shinjuku (Shinjuku Station) to Kawaguchiko Station throughout the day.
- Services also operate from Tokyo Station and Shibuya. Buses fill quickly in peak season, so advance reservations are recommended.
From the airports
Haneda approx. 2 hr 30 min+ / Narita approx. 3 hr 30 min+
- Direct buses from Haneda and Narita airports to Kawaguchiko Station run only a few times a day.
- If the times do not suit, travel into Shinjuku or Tokyo Station and continue by train or express bus as above.
- Renting a car at the airport and driving directly is also an excellent option.

- We do not offer a shuttle service. Taxis are available at Kawaguchiko Station.
